The auditorium provides the ability to conduct a telephone conference between remote participants and up to 196 attendees over the telephone system.
When using this feature, the wireless microphone system functions as the phone transmitter while the auditorium sound system functions as the phone receiver.
IMPORTANT NOTES TO EVENT SPONSORS:  If the remote participants are ALSO using a telephone conferencing system, it is recommended that a test call be made well in advance to the event to minimize audio problems such as audio levels. Send email to Abel Ephraim to make arrangements.
In order to phone a local off-campus phone number, you must dial a 9 prior to the number.  If you are making a long distance phone call (outside area-code 512), then you must use a credit card (dial 9 + number) or UT long distance access code (8 + number).
